CarMobility Insurance Ltd. announces cessation of underwriting (Public Notice)

CarMobility Insurance Limited, part of Business Lease Group BV and AutoBinck Group informs all the Policyholders and Stakeholders that with effect from and after the 1st day of January 2027, the company intends to cease carrying on the business of insurance and reinsurance in accordance with the Insurance Business Act and the Insurance Rules issued thereunder. CarMobility Insurance Limited shall not renew, extend or otherwise continue any expiring business, policies or contracts of insurance. This notice is published pursuant to Chapter 12 of the Insurance Rules.

Background to CarMobility Insurance Limited

CarMobility Insurance Ltd. was established in 2024 to provide operational leasing companies within the Business Lease Group BV with CASCO vehicle insurance. At the end of 2025 CarMobility Insurance Ltd. provided CASCO coverage for 15.000 vehicles in four countries (Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Romania), where Business Lease entities were active.

Catalyst for cessation of underwriting

The principal catalyst for cessation of underwriting is the ongoing divestment of the individual leasing companies from the Business Lease Group BV to the third parties, which will render the continued operation of the captive insurance undertaking, which currently insures such leasing companies, without further scope.
