Mitsubishi Czech Republic

AutoBinck have been present in both the Czech and Slovak Republics since 1991 when we became the Mazda distributor just after the fall of the iron curtain. In 2001 the operation expanded with Hyundai distribution and further in 2004 with Mitsubishi Motors distribution where we won a competitive tender to takeover country representation of the Japanese car maker.

Today our distribution activity in these two countries concentrates exclusively upon Mitsubishi Motors after we transferred Mazda and Hyundai activities back to Mazda Motor Corporation (in 2006) and to Hyundai Motor Company (in 2008), the result of their specific distribution strategies, in Hyundai’s case due to their start up of production in the Czech and Slovak republics.

In 2011 we achieved a Mitsubishi market share of 0.96% in Czech having inherited a share of 0.38% in 2004. Our investment over this period has concentrated upon sales and marketing promotion and dealer development which has built the network up to full country coverage – there are now 30 Mitsubishi sales and service dealers and 6 authorised repairers in the Czech Republic.

AutoBinck’s own car retail division is an important part of this Mitsubishi network, accounting for 33% of total country sales from our three dealerships in Prague and Brno.

By coming 10^th in the global sales growth ranking of all distributors selling less than 5000 units annually our Mitsubishi Czech team were recently very proud to receive Mitsubishi Motor Corporations award for “2011 Sales Growth”.
